Aurora borealis in a winter’s paradise

Lonely Planet rated Norway one of the best countries to travel to in 2022. The travel guide book publisher writes: “Norway is almost unfairly blessed in terms of natural beauty. And it’s also leading the charge on sustainability, green tech, and cultural highlights”.

Between late September and late March, northern Norway is dark from early afternoon until late morning, and the northern lights frequently soar across the sky. This part of Norway, with its multiple islands, deep fjords and steep mountains, is among the worlds most beautiful and interesting places to see the northern lights.
